Modern office – more than just office furniture

August 13, 2021

A desk and office chair is the constant standard solution in any office design, but we always think “beyond the furniture” when designing offices – we create a well-thought-out environment that is comfortable for all employees’ needs.

How do we set up an office step by step?

First of all, we research the technical plan of the client’s premises and delve into the operation of a particular company. We analyse what synergies will develop between employees and define the groups of employees – which employees work in the office on a daily basis, what technical equipment each group of employee’s needs, etc. Understanding the specifics of the work of a particular office, the size of the premises, architectural solutions, the location of communication units and other nuances, we can start working with the client to choose office furniture and specify the office furniture collections that will be included in the office interior.

Selection of office furniture

When installing a new office, it is definitely necessary to pay attention to the ergonomics, practicality and, of course, design of the furniture. Furnishing an office is a large enough work to make the office comfortable and up-to-date for its employees and customers once it is done, and changes in, for example, staff numbers will not require new investment in remodeling the premises.

Office desk

A good work desk in the office must first and foremost be stable, regardless of whether it is stationary or height-adjustable. It has enough space for a computer, the employee’s usual number of monitors, notes and other things needed for his / her workday.   The aspect of additional equipment is also important, as it will make the workplace more comfortable and aesthetically attractive. Cable outlets, cable holders or baskets, monitor stands, acoustic partitions and other clever accessories will allow employees to work in a pleasant and tidy environment free of unnecessary tangles of wires or overloaded shelves.

Office chair

An employee spends most of his or her working day in an office chair. It must be convenient and adaptable to various employee height parameters. A good work chair is one in which the employee can adjust to a comfortable height, choose the inclination of the backrest angle and the position of the headrest, armrests. The office chair can be individually assembled, adjusting exactly to the parameters of your body and according to the desired budget. It is also possible to choose the comfort levels of the adjustment mechanism, the type of arm and headrest, the wheelbase and, of course, the finishing materials.

Meeting and lounge areas

This space in the office is very important, because this is where important decisions are made and new ideas are generated. Our clients are increasingly demanding diversity, which helps to create a healthy office atmosphere. Research shows that by introducing lounge corners and brainstorming islands, it is possible to increase the sense of team togetherness and team spirit. Large “employee farms” with office desks close to each other are no longer what companies want. If it is an open-plan office, then there are places where both a more relaxed atmosphere and areas of increased privacy and focus are needed. That is why lounge corners, as well as silent pods and acoustic partitions, have become very popular among customers.
