February 15, 2017

In projects with special approach required, “Kate” team is ready to offer nonstandard solutions derived from the “Kate” base product basket. As one of examples where customized solution has been successfully implemented is furniture set up of Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) work and break areas as nowadays the studding process has become more flexible and is running also after the lectures outside auditoriums.

“Kate” architect Jānis Mežulis created a module of 2-seater benches with fixed table top and leg fastened to the floor. The seat shell supports are equipped with self-return mechanism as well as anti-panic for comfortable and easy sitting down and getting up.

Lighting elements with switches and sockets are integrated in the benches. They are also equipped with the Electronic Power Systems phone battery chargers.

One side of each bench construction is based on flowerpot made of corian. Besides provided stability function these flowerpots  perfectly work as decorative elements, bringing out the green in the area with the help of plants. “Kate” believes that added plants throughout the space increase an individual’s productivity and help students to get the given tasks done with ease and efficiency.
