The new “VEF quarter” has been reborn and is populated by the “Mikrotīkls” with about 300 employees on 3 floors. The “Mikrotīkls” project is one of our biggest challenges for both office designers and furniture manufacturers.
The very technical, detailed and complicated project took around 9 months from the initial ideas to the final result. In order to achieve an excellent result, we had to understand the general specifics of the work and to get in touch with the everyday life of the employees. It also reflects in the furniture itself – both, the selected collections and tones are matched to the common architecture of “VEF”, but the workstations are designed to create a functional environment for the employee to help accomplish their daily tasks. For example, desks – they fulfill a specific function, but if we look at them together, they make their own story and fulfill their purpose.
The project features specially customized series of desks ALTIUS and KVADRO, task chairs NETS with antistatic fabric upholstery. UNI file cabinets and metal storage systems, as well as TANGRAM sofas in waiting rooms.
