“Kate” was honored to take part in ambitious restoration project of historical curtains and door drapes for Ambassadors Accreditation Hall at the Riga castle.
On the firt stage of the project “Kate” textile designer Kristīne Vēja together with textile artist Māris Maniņš fitted the pattern of reconstructive fabric to the historical curtain rods and proportions of the space. After the hand woven fabric was finished, “Kate” masters sewed the curtain providing it with specially selected lining and ornamental fabric bands which were woven separately. “Kate” also supplied and installed the blinds and blinds rods. Fabrics for blinds and lining were chosen from the collection of world known Swiss fabric producer “Creation Baumann”.
